One of our front girls, Candace, has been trying out the HTC Status from Telus. Sp we asked her to say a few words about her *NEW* phone! P.S. This phone is available in Black or Amethyst!

“Hey so I have been on this phone for almost a week now and I really like it. My favorite feature is on the main screen, you can go to the featured apps without going into the phone itself AND you can change these apps anytime! I also like the fact that it is touch screen and keyboard.

PROS:-

- It has a mirror

- Phone finder…so if I loose you phone you can find it remotely…I haven’t used this yet but I will look into this and get back to you!!!

- Android phones have lots of cools apps and…lots of FREE ones!

- I love the fact the weather and the time are right on your home screen.

- From your main screen you can look anyone up on Faceboon or in your contacts just by typing the number or even the name.

- When you go into your apps you can search for any app by typing in the name of it!!

- Your phone is always streaming which if you are a faithful Facebook user is good but I am not so I really don’t use any of the Facebook features.

- Your battery life is short…must be cause you phone is always streaming. I plug mine in anyways at night and I always have a car charger when I’m travelling so it’s been good so far.

I really like the phone though!!!”

Pro’s:

- Sound quality on both ends is great.

- Hard to tell a handsfree kit is being used.

- Offers a cord for Ipod, USB, and Aux…

- Makes for listening to music through vehicles speakers very easy.

- Bluetooth pairing is very simple. You can also Bluetooth music from your phone through the kit which is great because it eliminates the need for extra wires and makes for a cleaner vehicle interior.

- The screen on the kit allows you to scroll through contacts and menu’s at ease.

- Higher feeling of quality and looks

- Chicks dig a guy with a deadly handsfree kit.

Con’s:

- Requires vehicle specific wiring harness to work.

- Depending on kit can be more expensive than other options available.

- No privacy handset, but due to new handsfree laws should not matter.

We all like options. That’s why Sears online has 1534 pairs of women’s shoes or why your buddy goes by Rob instead of Bill. Options matter to us. That’s why we try and give you the best option when you pick your phone. You’ve heard about Blackberry and iPhone, but we think you should hear about Android phones.

Android is a Google based phone software:

Allows you to have up to 7 customizable homescreens

Has over 100,000 apps (over 60% of which are FREE) – without using your credit card.

Links to your gmail account for quick contact transfer

Telus offers a wide variety of Android based phones from some of the top phone manufacturers like HTC, Samsung, LG & Motorola.

Android phones start at $0 for a 3 year contract or $199.99 to buy out.

So check out Android. See the LG Shine Plus (slide out keyboard and compact size), or maybe the Motorola Defy (scratch proof Gorilla glass and water resistant design). Check out your options, after all, where would you be without them?

Tonight the final round of the NHL 2011 playoffs begins! And whether or not you are a hockey fan, you’re paying attention as the Canucks look to end their 14 year playoff drought! My favourite app of the month is NHL Game Center. I can set it to send alerts every time there is a goal. I can also check the play by play for shots, hits and penalties. NHL Game Center is free on Apple App Store, Android Market and Blackberry App World. So whether you’re going to put on your green man suit or cheer for the Bruins, you can have the game at your fingers!
